Hi, I’m Terri Martinez.
I’m a licensed clinical therapist, content creator, and mental health advocate based in Midland, Michigan. My background is rooted in community mental health and crisis intervention, where I’ve had the opportunity to walk alongside individuals during some of the most difficult and overwhelming moments of their lives. Throughout my career, I’ve served in roles such as managing crisis facilities in Montana and conducting mental health risk assessments in a hospital emergency room. Those experiences shaped how I understand trauma, resilience, and the real-life challenges people face when they feel at their lowest.
Today, I am the owner and founder of Eternal Hope Christian Counseling, where I work with individuals, couples, and families who are seeking healing, clarity, and stronger, healthier relationships. My approach is both clinical and faith-based. I believe it’s important to understand how your thoughts, emotions, and nervous system work, while also recognizing the role your faith plays in how you navigate life. In our work together, I focus on helping you slow things down, identify patterns that keep you feeling stuck, and build practical skills that you can actually use in your everyday life.
At Eternal Hope Christian Counseling, our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care rooted in a Christian foundation. We are committed to serving individuals, couples, and families with integrity, helping them navigate life’s challenges with resilience, clarity, and personal responsibility. We hold ourselves to the highest legal, ethical, and professional standards, with a strong commitment to confidentiality, informed consent, and the protection of client rights. Our goal is to create a space where clinical excellence and faith come together to support meaningful, lasting growth.
God is first and foremost in my life, and He is at the center of everything I do. That foundation shapes how I show up—with compassion, honesty, and a deep commitment to walking alongside others through whatever they are facing.
Outside of my work, my family is one of my greatest joys. I’m married to my husband, Joe, who is my greatest support, and together we share the blessing of our three grown children, their spouses, and eight grandchildren. Time together is often filled with laughter, connection, and just enough chaos to keep things fun.
I also cherish my extended family, including my four brothers, six nieces, and four nephews. When we’re all together, there’s no shortage of laughter and a little bit of shenanigans—moments that turn into memories I truly treasure.
I’m also passionate about giving back to my community. I volunteer with a local service dog training organization, where I help care for and raise puppies as they prepare to serve individuals with disabilities. It’s work that brings me a lot of joy and perspective.
In my personal time, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places. Whether it’s a quiet walk through a small town or an outdoor adventure, I appreciate the opportunity to experience new environments and step outside of my routine.
Above all, I believe that no matter what you’re walking through, there is hope—and you don’t have to navigate it alone.
If you’re ready to take that next step—whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply know something needs to change—I invite you to reach out. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. We can take that first step together.
