1099 Contract Therapist — Eternal Hope Christian Counseling

What You’ll Do

  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, or families within your scope of licensure and ethical standards.
  • Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation within 24 hours of each session to support ethical care and smooth billing.
  • Complete all clinical documentation within the Eternal Hope Christian Counseling EHR system to support compliance, billing, and continuity of care.
  • Deliver compassionate, professional care aligned with the Christian-centered mission of Eternal Hope Christian Counseling and evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Maintain independent clinical judgment while aligning with practice policies, ethical standards, and mission.
  • Manage your own schedule and clinical workload while operating independently as a contractor.

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Michigan license (LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist).
  • License must be clean — no current investigations or restrictions.
  • Fully paneled with BCBS, Priority Health, and Aetna prior to start date.
  • Active NPI and maintained CAQH profile with current credentialing information.
  • Professional liability insurance $1,000,000 / $5,000,000 and must be active prior to the first day.
  • Must pass a background check prior to providing services.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, insurance-ready clinical documentation.
  • Comfortable providing both in-person and telehealth services and utilizing electronic health record systems.
  • Compliance with HIPAA standards and secure electronic documentation practices.
  • Ability to function independently as a 1099 contractor, including responsibility for taxes, licensure renewal, and continuing education.
  • Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and ability to work independently.
  • Clinicians must be comfortable working within a Christian-centered practice environment.

  • Compensation structure reflects clinical experience, consistency of caseload, and mutual fit within the practice
  • Independent contractor structure designed to support flexibility, autonomy, and professional development.

Future Employment Consideration

  • Clear pathway to transition into a full-time W-2 employment role with benefits may be discussed once a consistent caseload of approximately 25 kept sessions per week is reached. Any transition would be based on mutual agreement, clinical fit, and practice needs and would require a separate employment agreement. Transition is not guaranteed.
